It was the Don Carlos 2005 Robusto. Very mild to Medium smoke. The taste was very good I wish I could tell you what they were but I haven't been able to do that yet. Would I spend $25 for it?? Definitely not. Would I spend 10-15 dollars for it?? Absolutely.

Booker's B-day party

Well today we had a pre-herf at Chris' house for Booker's b-day. It was a nice day to be outside with friends and smoking cigars. First off, after suffering from dry socket from having a tooth extracted I had my first cigar last night. I had won a five pack of CAO Italia and decided to smoke that. I lit it and notice the strong taste of cedar. It burned alright, I had to fix it a couple times. The taste of cedar was throughout the cigar. It wasn't a bad cigar, but it wasn't good either.

Which brings us to today. I started out the day with a defiance cigar. It had a good flavor throughout. The burn was terrible, at points it was burning underneath the wrapper. After I was done with that I pulled out the Man O'War cigar and was about to light that until a friend asked if I wanted to try one of his cigars. I said sure and he handed me a 2003 Partagas Hab. I haven't had one before. At first it was a tight draw had to nip a little bit more of the end and it became a little looser. Taste was awesome, burned really well, I would recommend if you have the means!!

Romeo Y Julieta Belicoso

Well I needed to do something tonight so I was bored and decided to pull this one from my humi. It smelled good and so I thought what the heck. Pre-lit draw seemed pretty good. The flavors were alright. Kind of mild for my taste. It was a cigar and as I mentioned before I was bored. I was smoking it in the apartment then I decided to sit out on the balcony and finish it. The wind was blowing I was moving and nothing would seemed to make the ash fall. I was quite amazed by that. I smoked about 2/3 of it before it finally ashed (dam I wish I had my camera before it ashed.) I also noticed that when I was smoking it the wrapper started spreading apart near the band. So ultimately, It was a good smoke for the cash and would recommend it to a newbie just starting out in cigars. Have a good night and Happy smoking!!

             <fieldset class="fieldset">      <legend>Attached Thumbnails</legend>

     </fieldset>
                              __________________

Partagas Spanish Rosada San Agustin

I just had this cigar after a couple of months in my humi. They handed me a free Oliva Serie G Cigar. Which I lit up right a way. The flavors from that cigar were outstanding. I couldn't believe that this mild-medium smoke had such good flavors. Unlike their full bodied Serie V figurado that I had had, this had so much more flavor. Which flavors?? I have no idea I am not the kind of person to tell you "oh this has a earthy taste" or anything like that. I like to sit and enjoy a flavorful cigar.

After the event me and my friend's, Justin and Andrew, went to Mezzaluna's for another smoke. They both had the Padron 1926 80th anniversary while I smoked the Gurkha East India. Their smokes were definitely far superior than mine. Especially since the cigar I smoked had a very tight draw and it lacked flavor. I even tried it with a little Cabernet Sauvignon...Nothing. This was the second cigar I couldn't finish. The first being a Acid cigar. I couldn't finish that one becasue the taste was absolutly disgusting. This one I couldn't finish because I couldn't get any draw out of it and I got tired of it.

Happy smoking!

My first Blog

Well hello there!! This Jon and this is my first bog on here. Mainly I will be typing about a cigar I just had or maybe of an event I will attending. So since this my first I will let you know a little about my self. I have lived in SE Michigan all my life. I was married and now divorced and with someone I could see spending the rest of my life with, Emily. I have been delivering Medical supplies for over 5 years now. I am presently looking for somewhere new because they have cut me back to 32 hours and I need something full time. As for the cigars, my first cigar I had was 10 years ago at my brother, David, wedding. And since then it has been something my dad, brothers, and I have done at family gatherings. That was until last year, I started hanging out with my friends, Andrew and Tony, and have been smoking at least once a week. To this day my fall back cigar is the H. Upmann Vintage Cameroon. It is a mild smoke and very inexpensive. I have my own humi and a couple cigars stowed in it awaiting to be smoked. I also after working all day go to the gym. It is a place I go to to get all my frustrations of being at work where I deal with morons all day on the road. But anyway, I should get going. Keep checking and I will keep posting.
